MISO is governed by an independent board of directors. The mission of the board is to foster MISO's long-term success and corporate sustainability in its responsibilities to all members, stakeholders, governmental authorities and customers. Each member serves a three-year term and must meet certain requirements to ensure an independent and qualified board. The Transmission Owners' Agreement requires the board to meet at least quarterly.
